Combined Cycle Power Plant

First, gas turbine generators generate electricity. Second, the exhaust heat from the first step is used to make steam through the Heat Recovery Steam Generator to generate additional electricity via the steam turbine. This is called combined cycle power plant since the combusted natural gas is generated over 2 times.

Dangjin Units 3 and 4 are high-efficiency combined cycle power plants composed of the latest H-class gas turbines.

It is the first Asian 100MW class biomass power plant that uses eco-friendly bio-energy.


Biomass power generation refers to an eco-friendly power generation method that produces electricity by using organic materials that can be converted into energy, such as wood-based products (wood pellets, wood chips) and PKS(Palm kernel shell).
